2007 HHA Membership Event

This year HHA hosted a Spring Membership drive.  It was lead by HHA Secretary and Membership Chair Francis Ray.  It was held at the wonderful Abuelita’s Restaurant, an ideal setting that was graciously and generously donated.

The party was attended by many active and prospective members.  They were treated to a wonderful selection of food, wine (all donated for the event) and guest speakers.  Clay Campbell with Bernalillo presented an overview of the project of rehabilitating the House.  Margie Hllava (HHA Preesident) spoke about the mission of the HHA and the progress made.  Dan Sanchez, a retire UNM history professor and writer spoke about the genealogy of  the families associated with the area and the House.  Senator Linda Lopez and Commissioner Teresa Cordova talked about their support of the project and pledge their continued support.
